Snowed In with the Perfect Book Living in New York, I found myself snowed in with the perfect companion - a delightful romance novel! "Instant Attraction" by Elle Kennedy is the first book in the Wilder Brothers series, and it couldn't have been more aptly timed. The story follows Cameron Wilder, a former extreme sports star, and Katie Kramer, a woman who's turned her life around after a near-death experience. Katie finds herself working as a temp bookkeeper for the Wilder brothers at their ski resort (how perfect is that?). When Cameron returns home after a year away, he's drawn to Katie, who's sleeping in his cabin. The attraction is instant, but they both have emotional baggage to overcome. I adored this book! The witty banter between the Wilder family members had me laughing out loud. I especially loved Annie's character - her humor and relatability made me giggle. The romance between Cam and Katie was sweet and steamy, with love scenes that left me blushing. What I appreciated most was the themes of healing, adventure, and living in the moment. Katie's determination to embrace life's adventures was inspiring, and Cam's vulnerability made him all the more endearing. As I read this book during the snowstorm, I found myself wishing I could visit Wilder Adventures and hang out with the fun-loving family. And, I must admit, when I heard a snowmobile outside, my heart skipped a beat, and I thought, "Cam?" (Sorry, I got a little carried away there!) Overall, "Instant Attraction" was a delightful, quick read that warmed my heart on a snowy day.
